Highly accomplished Learning and Development professional with 15+ years demonstrated experience working with client stakeholders from various lines of business, subject matter experts, training partners, design and delivery teams, performance consultants, marketing and product managers, systems, process, and technical teams to drive the design and execution of training programs that positively impact client priorities, goals, and strategic initiatives.
2007 – 2023 AT&T Learning and Development
Led the design, development, and delivery of product, sales, service, technical, process, systems, and leadership training programs for National Business Enterprise, Global, Mid-Markets Sales and Service, Retail Sales and Distribution, and Consumer Call Centers.
2005 – 2007 Pinnacle Performance Group
Designed and developed interactive learning experiences, graphics, and content for custom web-based and leader-led training for major clients (YUM International, Brinker, United Airlines, Abbott Labs, etc.).
2005 – 2007 DePaul University
Taught courses in 3D modeling, animation, rendering, and texturing, graphic design, web development, user interface design/human computer interaction (UI/HCI).
Associate Director
- Provide decisive guidance and effective leadership to the team, ensuring the successful implementation of training initiatives aligned with clients’ strategic priorities.
- Lead teams dedicated to comprehensive consultation, overseeing the entire lifecycle of solution development from conceptualization to completion. This includes managing design cycles, implementing updates and revisions, and conducting thorough evaluations.
- Supervise various aspects of team performance, encompassing hiring, termination, performance support and management, coaching, and reviews.
- Maintain stringent adherence to brand, quality assurance, legal, editorial, accessibility, and technical standards across all training output.
Lead Training Manager – Strategy
- Acts as the liaison between the assigned client organization and the Training organization.
- Responsible for understanding the client’s business goals and identifying training solutions to improve business results.
- Proactively identifying employee performance improvement opportunities that enable employees to perform their jobs and deliver business results.
- Provides consultation to client leadership on all aspects of training, including determining priorities and influencing budgets.
- Develop training plans, budget proposals, design estimates, training outcomes, post training KPI and performance reports, project forecasting and rollout roadmaps.
- Guides the maintenance and customization of training programs to align with the clients’ needs, including culture, vision and budget.
- End to end management of training projects from intake opportunity analysis to execution.
Lead Training Manager – Design
- Responsible for instructional design and development, at an expert skill level, of courseware for employees whose complex job tasks or environments include employee development, sales, customer service, product deployment and all technical functions at the company.
- This role also includes project management of large projects, vendor or contractor oversight and management, and design and development of training and performance tools.
- Orchestrates with/manage vendors to ensure quality, consistency, and relevance of vendor course materials, including modifying materials to fit the corporate culture.
- Evaluate effectiveness of training curriculums, including conducting pilot sessions and facilitating alternative delivery methods.
- Create a wide variety of written and electronic materials, including training courses, training proposals, business letters and memorandums to ensure quality written communication with clients and vendors.
- Research and development of new technologies, development of standard templates, models and job aids for enterprise- wide multimedia training development.
- Acts as a Subject Matter Expert. In some cases, may provide training or mentoring to less experienced staff, and may provide feedback for the evaluation of new staff.
Senior Training Manager – Design
- Responsible for the design, development and maintaining instructional training materials in various formats including but not limited to instructor-led, self-paced web-based, distance-learning and computer-based technologies.
- Provide graphic design, branding, and support of multimedia learning solutions.
- Small project management that are of low to moderate complexity.
- Determine performance standards, skill/knowledge requirements and training objectives.
- Performs analysis to identify appropriate training resources and procedures.
- Responsible for producing design plans targeted to client performance needs, developing courses, and learning interventions, integrating a variety of adult instructional techniques.
- Uses systematic design process and support tools to develop appropriate media, storyboards, job aids, scripts and instructor-led as well as self-paced materials.
- Evaluates instructional curricula/courses and makes recommendations.
Instructional/Graphic Design Contractor
- Design and develop engaging visual elements for print and digital training materials, or any visual asset required by the client.
- Communicate with clients to define their needs for each project.
- Generate design concepts, execute revisions, and meet deadlines.
- Collaborate with subject experts to develop course content.
- Design learning activities, assignments, and assessments.
- Multimedia development including 2D/3D illustration and animation.
- Create web-based training (WBT) interfaces, modules, and storyboards.
- Develop instructor’s manuals, presentations, and other teaching and performance tools.
Adjunct Instructor
- Instruct both undergraduate and graduate students through in-person and online courses, covering a diverse range of design and multimedia topics over the span of a semester or academic year.
- Develop, deliver and review course material and syllabi to meet students’ needs.
- Prepare lectures, presentations, activities, projects, and discussion questions for class.
- Assign reading and practice material.
